| Beginning of August, 2024 | Residence information packages will be emailed to students to their Carleton email account. This will include information on room type, link to select preferred check-in date and time, etc. |
| Mid August, 2024 | Final information to prepare for moving in. |
| Friday, August 23, 2024 | Deadline for students coming in the fall term to select their preferred check-in date and time. |
| Sunday, August 25, 2024 | Payment deadline for fall term fees (all fees including tuition and residence). |
| Thursday, August 29 to Sunday, September 1, 2024 | Residence Move in – students will be provided with a link to book a move in date within their information package emailed beginning of August. |
| Friday, August 30, 2024 | Deadline to submit a Residence Late Arrival Form to hold room past 11:59 pm ET, Monday, September 2, 2024. |
| Friday, August 30, 2024 | Residence meal plan begins at lunch (11:00 am ET). |
| Tuesday, September 3, 2024 | Unclaimed rooms will be offered out to students whose applications are queued to receive a room offer. |
| Wednesday, September 4, 2024 | Fall term begins. Fall and fall/winter classes begin. |
| Tuesday, September 10, 2024 | Rooms assigned to students with written late arrival forms will not be held. |
| Wednesday, September 18, 2024 | Last day to decrease your meal plan for the fall term. |
| Monday, September 30, 2024 | After 9:30 am ET – Requests for Room Changes open. |
| Monday, October 21 – Friday, October 25, 2024 | Fall break. Residence and Teraanga Commons Dining Hall remain open. |
| Monday, October 14, 2024 | Residence applications for fall term who do not have a room offer will expire. If you wish to apply for winter term residence, you must reapply. |
| Thursday, October 31, 2024 | 10:00 am ET – Application opens for winter term residence. Depending on availability, space will be offered on a first come first serve basis. |
| November TBD, 2024 | Residence maintenance room inspections. |
| November TBD, 2024 | Applications for new Residence Fellows opens (closes January 9, 2024). Click here for more information. |
| Friday, November 1, 2024 | Applications to stay through the Winter Holiday Closure open. |
| Monday, November 25, 2024 | Payment deadline for winter term fees (all fees including tuition and residence). |
| Wednesday, December 4, 2024 | Last day for fall term move in. Students who have accepted a room offer for the fall are not able to check in starting Thursday, December 5, 2024. |
| December TBD, 2024 | 7:00 pm ET – Residence Fellow Information Session. |
| Tuesday, December 17, 2024 | 4:30 pm ET – Deadline to complete the Winter Holiday Stayover Request Form. |
| Monday, December 9 – Saturday, December 21, 2024 | Fall term examination period. |
| Sunday, December 22, 2024 | 12:00 pm Noon ET – Residence and meal plans will be suspended until residence re-opens at 12:00 pm noon ET on January 5, 2025. Residence meal plan will start at dinner (4:00 pm ET). |
| Tuesday, December 24, 2024 | University is closed. No services are available during this time. |
| Friday, January 3, 2025 | 8:30 am ET – University opens, but residence remains closed. Students will not have access to their residence rooms until 12:00 pm noon ET on January 5, 2025. |
| Sunday, January 5, 2025 | 12:00 pm noon ET – Current residence students return to their rooms. Winter term residence move-ins will begin. Residence meal plan will start at dinner (4:00 pm ET). |
| Monday, January 6, 2025 | Winter term classes begin. |
| January TBD, 2025 | 12:00 pm ET – Deadline for Residence Fellow Applications |
| Friday, January 10, 2025 | Rooms assigned to new students joining the residence community in the winter term with written late arrival forms will not be held past January 10. |
| Monday, January 20, 2025 | Last day to decrease your meal plan for the winter term. |
| Monday, February 3, 2025 | Housing Applications open after 10:00 am ET for all application types. |
| February TBD, 2025 | 6:00 pm ET – Virtual Off-Campus seminar. |
| Friday, February 14, 2025 | April examination schedule available online. |
| Monday, February 17, 2025 | 11:59 pm ET – Deadline for Upper Year Residence applications. |
| February TBD, 2025 (end of day) | Upper Year students will receive notification of the residence room lottery results for the 2025/2026 academic year. |
| Tuesday, February 18, 2025 | After 9:00 am ET – Summer Residence application opens. |
| February TBD, 2025 | 4:30 pm ET – Special Needs Residence for all returning students – medical documentation and personal requests must be received in the Department of Housing and Residence Life Services. |
| Monday, February 17 – Friday, February 21, 2025 | Winter break. Residence and Teraanga Commons Dining Hall remain open. |
| Saturday, March 1, 2025 | If approved for a Residence Withdrawal, no refund of residence fees will be given to students requesting to withdraw from residence after this date. For the full policy on Withdrawing from Residence please click here. |
| March TBD, 2025 | Residence maintenance room inspections. |
| March TBD, 2025 | 12:00 pm noon ET* – Raven’s Roost job application closes |
| Friday, April 11 – Saturday, April 26, 2025 | Winter term examination period. |
| Sunday, April 13, 2025 | All students who have no take homes/exams are required to vacate their residence rooms by 12:00 am midnight ET. |
| Saturday, April 12 – Saturday, April 26, 2025 | All students are required to vacate their residence room 24 hours after their last scheduled exam. Click here for more information about Move-Out. |
| Sunday, April 27, 2025 | All students must check out of residence by 12:00 pm noon ET – no extensions are permitted beyond this date. |
| Thursday, May 15, 2025 | NEW cancellation deadline for Upper Year students – Deadline for Upper Year students to cancel and receive a partial refund ($350) of the $700 Residence Advance Payment for incoming fall term for all students. Review the Cancellation Policy. |
| Friday, May 16, 2025 | Last day for first year students to receive an offer of admission that includes guaranteed residence. |
| Monday, June 9, 2025 | Deadline to accept a first year guaranteed room offer .

| Monday, June 9, 2025 | Deadline for new applicants to submit application for the room lottery. |
