Affinity Groups
Affinity Groups bring together students who share a piece of their identity such as race, gender, age, religion, disability and/or sexual orientation. It is intended to create a safe space for students who are often marginalized to gather, share their experiences, and build relationships.
Affinity Groups in residence focus on creating a safe space for students who associate with the following identities:
- Black Students
- Indigenous Students
- International Students
- Mature Students (23+)
- Racialized Student & Students of Colour
- Students with Visible and Non-Visible Disabilities
- 2SLGBTQ+
Sustainability Committee
The goal of the Sustainability Committee is to connect with residence students in an effort to create a more environmentally conscious community. The committee members (comprised of volunteer residence students) actualize their ideas through programs they help facilitate throughout the year.
Student Engagement Committee
Student Engagement Committee is an opportunity for students to get involved in planning events for residence students! This committee aims to connect residence students to a common topic they can engage with in order to foster community engagement and consider personal development while maintaining a lens that focuses on strengthening equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Residence Wide Events
Residence Wide Events are events in which our Community Development Team puts on throughout the academic year. They host events such as Ice Cream Study Breaks, the Roommate Game, the Price is Right, and many more.
