- When do I need to move out in April?

All students are required to vacate their room no later than 24 hours after your last exam OR by 12 pm noon April 29 – whichever is earlier. You will receive an email containing specific move out information starting in February.
- Can I stay for longer in residence?

The deadline to move out of residence is 24 hours after your last exam. To request an extension beyond your move out date please click here for more information and to complete an application.
There are no extensions beyond 12:00 pm noon, on April 29.
Before Moving Out
- Can I get a COVID test before I go home?

- What do I do with my Coldex rental fridge?

Ensure that the fridge is empty and clean, and leave it in your room. Coldex will be collecting fridges beginning April 29.
During Move-Out
- How do I register for parking?
-
30 minute move-out parking is offered through Parking Services by clicking here, on a first come first served basis. Select the Forms icon – form is titled: Residence Move-Out 2021 Application Form. Even if a moving company is being used, registration is required.
Please contact the Parking Services Office (parking@carleton.ca) before 12:30 pm April 17 if you need to change your timeslot.
- Am I permitted to have anyone assist me with moving out?

You are permitted to have people assist with your move out. Please continue to be COVID safe, wear your mask and social distance.
After Moving Out
- I’ve already moved out and left campus and forgot to hand in my keys. What should I do?

- I’ve already moved out and forgot to pick up my mail. Who do I contact?

Please contact the Residence Desk and arrange to have your mail picked up by May 7. If you are not able to pick up your own mail, please email resdesk@carleton.ca from your Carleton email account notifying the Residence Desk that a trusted third party will do so on your behalf. All mail not picked up by May 7 will be returned to the sender.
Please remember to update your mailing address in Carleton Central and remove your residence address.
