In the past few years, we have sent out a survey to all students living in Residence that gave them the opportunity to submit a nomination for their Favourite Faculty member. This survey simply stated: Who is the faculty member, and why are they so great?
The purpose of the survey was to find out what our students value in their professors, and which professors are highly engaged with their students and willing to put extra time in to dedicate to their learning. Our hope was that through this program we would be able to bring more academic learning opportunities to our students outside of the classroom and into their home as a way to better support them in their academics.
