The Residence complex will be closed and locked beginning at 12:00 pm noon Sunday, December 22, 2024 until 12:00 pm noon, Sunday, January 5, 2025. As you make your travel arrangements, please take note of those dates.

The last meal served in Teraanga Commons Dining Hall will be breakfast, ending at 10:30 am on Sunday, December 22, 2024. Dining service locations will be closed during the holiday closure. The first meal served in Teraanga Commons Dining Hall for the winter term will be dinner, beginning at 4:00 pm on Sunday, January 5, 2025.
Campus Safety Services will be on duty, regularly patrolling the floors throughout the closure.
Exchange students who are here for Fall term ONLY, and students graduating at the end of the Fall term who will not be enrolled in academic courses in Winter term must vacate residence by 12:00 pm noon on Sunday, December 22, 2024. Extensions and Winter Holiday Stayover requests to stay beyond this date will not be considered.

Apply to remain in Residence
Students who require accommodation:
- The Winter Holiday Stayover request form will open in November 2024.
- Please register by submitting the Winter Holiday Stayover Form by the deadline of Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
- You will receive confirmation of your application and further instructions regarding approval and payment within 2 – 3 business days of submitting the form.
The fee to remain in Residence is:
- Students who apply by Tuesday, December 17, 2024, the cost for the stayover is TBD for 2024/2025. We do not offer nightly rates.
- Requests to remain in residence during the holiday closure received after Tuesday, December 17, 2024 will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and subject to a late fee. No requests will be considered after 12:00 pm noon Friday, December 20, 2024.

Before you leave
You may leave your belongings in your room. Please pack all valuables and items you will need while away, as there will be no access to the buildings, floors, and rooms during the closure.
Access to buildings/rooms
Your Campus Card access to the buildings, floors and rooms will be deactivated as of 12:00 pm noon on Sunday, December 22, 2024, until 12:00 pm noon on Sunday, January 5, 2025.
Planning to return early?
Requests for early arrival will be considered. Students must still register and make payment with the Housing Office to arrange access.
Permission to stay/return early will not be considered for students who have previously violated the Residence Contract.
