The Residence complex will be closed and locked beginning at 12:00 pm noon Saturday, December 23, 2023 until 12:00 pm noon, Sunday, January 7, 2024. As you make your travel arrangements, please take note of those dates.

The last meal served in the caf will be breakfast which will end at 10:30 am on December 23, 2023. During the closure period, no dining service outlets will be open. The first meal served in the caf for the winter term will be dinner on January 7, 2024.
University Safety staff will be on duty, regularly patrolling the floors throughout the closure.
Exchange students who are here for Fall term ONLY, and students graduating at the end of the Fall term who will not be enrolled in academic courses in Winter term must vacate residence by 12:00 pm noon on December 23, 2023. Extensions and Winter Holiday Stayover requests to stay beyond this date will not be considered.

Students who require accommodation:
- The Winter Holiday Stayover request form will open in November
- Please register by submitting the Winter Holiday Stayover Form by the deadline of December 11, 2023.
- You will receive confirmation of your application and further instructions regarding approval and payment within 10 business days of submitting the form.

The fee to remain in Residence is:
- 2023 price $300 regardless of the amount of days you are staying.
During the closure
During the closedown period, you are not permitted to have overnight guests.

Before you leave
You may leave your belongings in your room. Please pack all valuables and items you will need while away, as there will be no access to the buildings, floors, and rooms during the closure.
During the Closure
Your Campus Card access to the buildings, floors and rooms will be deactivated as of noon on December 23, 2023, until noon on January 7, 2024.
Planning to return early?
Requests for early arrival will be considered. Students must still register and make payment with the Housing Office to arrange access.
Permission to stay/return early will not be considered for students who have previously violated the Residence Contract.
