Hello Ravens!
My name is Wyatt and I am the Residence Manager for Grenville, Russell, Renfrew, and Lanark Houses! I completed my Undergraduate degree in History with a minor in Philosophy. Although I completed my degree at a different institution, I have called Carleton University my home for the past two years and I have enjoyed every moment I have spent on campus. When I am not working, I am likely playing video games, watching/playing baseball, or going for walks around the city looking for the best food places in Ottawa!
Me and my team of 16 Residence Fellows want to take a moment to welcome you all to our wonderful residences! Whether you are new to residence or you have lived with us before, we are here to make sure that you all feel welcome and excited for the academic year! We will be working as a team to ensure you feel welcomed and connected with the community in our buildings. I am super excited to see you on campus this year and I know your Residence Fellows are just as excited, if not more!
Before you move-in, let me take some time to talk about Grenville, Russell, Renfrew, and Lanark houses!
All 4 buildings are traditional style buildings and contain Single and Double rooms with shared washrooms!
Each building has 4 floors with Grenville and Russell each holding 200 students, Renfrew houses roughly 168 students, and Lanark houses 195 students!
Each floor has 1 Residence Fellow (or RF for short) on each floor! Residence Fellows are Upper Year students that live within residence and are excellent resources. They all have a wealth of knowledge about the Carleton campus, different resources that we offer, and other supports to help you feel comfortable within your home away from home!
Due to the buildings being a traditional style residence space, it is very easy to be able to form a community and meet new people! There are study spaces and TV Lounges that students on the floor can use for their own events and also are a space for Residence Fellows to host events for the community.
I am super excited for you all to join our Residence community! This is a where you can learn more about yourself, find out who you truly want to be, and of course make lasting memories and have fun!
