Preparing to Move In

You will receive the following information to your Carleton email:

• End of July/early August: Move in registration instructions with access to book your Move In appointment
• Early August: Move in instructions and information.
• Mid-December: Students moving in for winter term will receive the residence information email.

Once you have selected your room, you can take a virtual tour or explore the building amenities on our website. This will give you an idea of what your room will look like and what is provided.

Fall Move In Dates

Fall residence check in will take place from August 29 to August 31, 2025.

Instructions will be emailed to your Carleton student email to register for a Move In appointment end of July/early August.

Early Arrivals Move-In (Fall Only)

Date: Thursday, August 28th 2025
Times: 9:00AM – 3:00PM

*Please note extra help will not be provided on this day.

*Please note meals in the Dining Hall will not be available on this day.

Fall Residence Move-In

Dates: Friday, August 29th – Sunday, August 31st 2025
Times: 8:30AM – 5:00PM

Fall After Hours Move-In

Students check-in at the Residence Reception Desk located on the second floor of Teraanga Commons.

Dates: Wednesday, August 28th – Sunday, August 31st 2025
Times: 7:00PM – 6:30AM
*Please note extra help will not be provided after hours.
*After Hours check-in must be completed at the Residence Reception Desk located on the second floor of Teraanga Commons.

Late Arrivals

Dates: After Sunday, August 31st, 2025

If you intend to arrive after 11:59PM on Sunday, August 31st, 2025 please complete the “Late Arrivals” form on the Housing Portal. Failure to complete this form will result in your Residence Advance Payment (RAP) being forfeited.

Dates: Sunday, January 4th, 2026
Times: Starting 12:00PM noon

Late Arrivals

Dates: After Sunday, January 4th, 2026
If you intend to arrive after 11:59PM on Sunday, January 5th, 2025 please complete the “Late Arrivals Form” on the Housing Portal.
Otherwise, your room and Residence Advance Payment will be forfeited.
