Meal Plans

Located on the third floor of Teraanga Commons (formerly the Residence Commons Building), Teraanga Commons Dining Hall is an all-you-care-to-eat facility. This year we will be featuring unique stations that will still offer a wide variety of food choice to our students. Explore Carleton’s Premier Residence Dining Facility today!

Meal Plans


All traditional-style residence students will be enrolled in the All-Access Meal Plan. 

All suite-style residence students will have the option of the Reduced Meal Plan. 

Meal plans for residents of Leeds House are optional.

Students on the Reduced Meal Plan are limited to one entry per meal period amounting to a maximum of three times per day.

All students may enroll in the All-Access Plus Meal Plan or upgrade to the All-Access Plus plan.

All-Access Plan

Unlimited meals at the Teraanga Commons Dining Hall, Carleton’s all-you-care-to-eat dining hall.
$100 Dining Dollars to spend at select dining locations on campus.
4 guest meal passes.

All-Access Plus Plan

Unlimited meals at the Teraanga Commons Dining Hall, Carleton’s all-you-care-to-eat dining hall.
$400 Dining Dollars to spend at select dining locations on campus.
4 guest meal passes.

Reduced Meal Plan

10 meals per week at the Teraanga Commons Dining Hall, Carleton’s all-you-care-to-eat dining hall.
$300 Dining Dollars to spend at select dining locations on campus.
4 guest meal passes.

Meal Periods

Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. to 10:59 a.m.
Lunch: 11:00 a.m. to 3:59 p.m.
Dinner: 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Boxed Meals

If you can’t make it to the Teraanga Commons Dining Hall for one of your meals, you can order a boxed meal to take with you on the go!

Please submit a boxed meal request a minimum of 48 hours before the meal. Meals are often ready for pickup as early as 4:00 p.m. the day before the requested meal. Pick up your meals at the checker desk at the Teraanga Commons Dining Hall. Be sure to bring your Campus Card.

Sick Chits

If you are not feeling well, contact your Residence Fellow or Residence Manager. Students can provide another designated individual (likely a friend) with the sick chit to allow them to pick up a meal and bring it to your room.

Ramadan

Students observing Ramadan may request Suhoor meals (pre-dawn meals) from the Teraanga Commons Dining Hall.

Please submit a boxed meal request a minimum of 48 hours before the meal and write “halal” in the dietary restrictions.

The meal will be available for pickup at the Teraanga Commons Dining Hall’s front desk as early as 4 p.m. the day before the requested date, and as late as 10 p.m. the day of the requested date.

This is an option for students looking to pick up a meal to have prior to the Teraanga Commons Dining Hall opening the following morning.

During Ramadan, the Teraanga Commons Dining Hall will operate as usual until 10 p.m., provide students with enough time to have an evening meal through Ramadan.

In addition, look out for increased halal menu offerings in the Teraanga Commons Dining Hall for the evening service as well as pop-ups at the Mix throughout Ramadan!
