Residence Peer Conduct Board
The Residence Peer Conduct Board (RPCB) is comprised of undergraduate and graduate students living in residence that hear alleged violations of the Residence Standards. The RPCB meetings are chaired by a student chairperson, and members have the opportunity to review incident reports, interview students who have been noted in reports for alleged misconduct, and determine responsibility. If the Board finds a student responsible for violating the Residence Standards, outcomes are recommended to the Residence Student Conduct Coordinator, which may include sanctions. All members of the RPCB must possess sincere interest and enthusiasm for working with other students and improving the Residence Community.
The position of the RPCB Team Member and RPCB Chair are filled by registered full-time students in good academic standing at Carleton University. The RPCB Team Members and Chairs are responsible for assisting in the overall implementation of procedures, and ensuring that all students are treated with fairness and provided the due process rights granted to them. Applicants must be available to attend weekly hearings on Sundays.

- How do I apply for the Residence Peer Conduct Board?

You need to apply via the eRezLife platform. Once you log in, you may need to click the drop down menu in the top left corner and select “Applications and Forms”. On the left hand side of the screen, you should see an option that says “Job Postings”. Any jobs that are open for applications will be displayed on this page. Select the job posting for the Residence Peer Conduct Board Chair or the Residence Peer Conduct Board Team Member and follow the steps in the application. - What’s the difference between the Team Member and Chair position?

The Residence Peer Conduct Board (RPCB) Chair has more responsibilities and leadership opportunities than the Team Member. The Chair will act as a spokesperson for the RPCB and ensure that all procedures are followed appropriately. The Chair will provide leadership and direction for the RPCB Team Members and communicate closely with the Residence Student Conduct Coordinator to deliver decisions and outcomes from hearings.
- When do interviews take place?

Candidates that receive an interview offer will be notified via their Carleton email address. Interviews take place in early August 2023. More information will be included in the email that is sent to candidates.
- When will I hear if I am offered an interview or not?

You will receive an email to your Carleton email address by early August 2023 to inform you if you’ve received an interview or not. We notify all candidates who have submitted an application if they have received an interview or not.
