| February 16, 2024 (end of day) | Upper year students will receive notification of the residence room lottery results for the 2024/2025 academic year. |

| February 22, 2024 | 4:30 pm ET – Special Needs Residence for all returning students – medical documentation and personal requests must be received in the Department of Housing and Residence Life Services. |

| April 13-25, 2024 | Winter term examination period. |
| April 14, 2024 | All students who have no take homes/exams are required to vacate their residence rooms by 12:00 am midnight ET. |
| April 14-25, 2024 | All students are required to vacate their residence room 24 hours after their last scheduled exam. Click here for more information about Move-Out. |
| April 26, 2024 | All students must check out of residence by 12:00 pm noon ET – no extensions are permitted beyond this date. |
| May 15, 2024 | NEW cancellation deadline for Upper Year students – Deadline for Upper Year students to cancel and receive a partial refund ($350) of the $700 Residence Advance Payment for incoming fall term for all students. Review the Cancellation Policy here. |
| May 17, 2024 | Last day for first year students to receive an offer of admission that includes guaranteed residence. |
| June 10, 2024 | Deadline to accept a first year guaranteed room offer (click here for more information about the first year guarantee acceptance process). Also the deadline for first year guaranteed to cancel and receive a full refund of the $700 Residence Advance Payment. Review the Cancellation Policy here. |
| June 10, 2024 | Deadline for new applicants to submit application for the room lottery (click here for information about the application process for new students). |
| June 10, 2024 | Deadline for all new students who require Special Accommodation to submit medical documentation and personal requests to the Department of Housing and Residence Life Services |
| June TBD, 2024 | Room lottery for all new students without a guaranteed offer. |

| July 15, 2024 | Deadline to cancel and receive a partial refund ($350) of the $700 Residence Advance Payment for incoming fall term for all students excluding Upper Year students. Review the Cancellation Policy here. |
| End of July, 2024 | Residence information packages will be emailed to students to their Carleton email account. This will include information on room type, link to select preferred check-in date and time, etc. |
| Mid August, 2024 | Building and accessing roommate information will be emailed to students Carleton email accounts. Note that first year students will not receive a room number until check in. |
| August 25, 2024 | Payment deadline for fall term fees (all fees including tuition and residence). |
| August 23, 2024 | Deadline for students coming in the fall term to select their preferred check-in date and time. |
| August TBD to September TBD, 2024 | Residence Move in – students will be provided with a link to book a move in date within their information package emailed at the end of July. More information regarding move in can be viewed here. |
| August 30, 2024 | Deadline to submit a Residence Late Arrival Form to hold room past 11:59 pm ET, September 5. |
| September 1, 2024 | Residence meal plan begins at lunch (11:00 am ET). |
| September 3, 2024 | Unclaimed rooms will be offered out in waitlist number priority. |
| September 4, 2024 | Fall term begins. Fall and fall/winter classes begin. |
| September TBD, 2024 | Last day to decrease your meal plan for the fall term. Complete a Meal Plan change form by clicking here. |
| September 17, 2024 | Rooms assigned to students with written late arrival forms will not be held past September 17. |
| September 30, 2024 | After 9:30 am ET – Requests for Room Changes open. Click here for more information. |
| October 11, 2024 | Waitlist for fall term residence will close and be eliminated. Should you wish to be added to the waitlist for the winter term, the application open date is October 31. For more information, please click here. |
| October 21-25, 2024 | Fall break. Residence and the caf remain open. |
| October 31, 2024 | 10:00 am ET – Application opens for winter term residence. Depending on availability, space will be offered on a first come first serve basis. For more information, please click here. |

| November TBD, 2024 | Applications for new Residence Fellows opens (closes January 9, 2024). Click here for more information. |

| November 25, 2024 | Payment deadline for winter term fees (all fees including tuition and residence). |
| December 4, 2024 | Last day for fall term move in. Students who have accepted a room offer for the fall are not able to check in after December 5. |
| December TBD, 2024 | 7:00 pm ET – Residence Fellow Information Session. For more information, please click here. |
| December 17, 2024 | 4:30 pm ET – Deadline to complete the Winter Holiday Stayover Request Form. The form can be found here. |
| December 9-21, 2024 | Fall term examination period. |
| December 22, 2024 | 12:00 pm Noon ET – Residence and meal plans will be suspended until residence re-opens at 12:00 pm noon ET on January 5, 2025. Residence meal plan will start at dinner (4:00 pm ET). |
| December 24, 2024 – January 3, 2025 | University is closed. No services are available during this time. |
| January 3, 2025 | 8:30 am ET – University opens, but residence remains closed. Students will not have access to their residence rooms until 12:00 pm noon ET on January 5, 2025. |
| January 5, 2025 | 12:00 pm noon ET – Current residence students return to their rooms. Winter term residence move-ins will begin. Residence meal plan will start at dinner (4:00 pm ET). |
| January 6, 2025 | Winter term classes begin. |
